Dreams take us beyond the literal parts of daily life into emotional layers of our inner experiences. With close attention, dreams can map these inner emotions. In this way, inner experience is bridged with outer daily life. By remaining open to the potential this reveals, we can deepen understanding about our relationships to self and other, as well as to our work and creativity.
DREAM GROUP for THERAPISTS
It continues to be an honor for me to serve as a group facilitator for therapists seeking this kind of connection through dreams. Within a small committed group, we support each other’s clinical work and creative endeavors. Over time, our dreams weave an always intriguing tapestry of impressions, thoughts, and emotional experience and become part of our self-care.
Because many have not experienced dream work, though, I want to offer more than my description by sharing what it means to participants. Here are some recent comments from group members:
"I always look forward to the dream group with Cynthia Hale. There is a very rich mixture of deep dreamwork, camaraderie, advanced clinical perspective, and true, heartfelt relating. I can truly say this is both the most rewarding dreamwork I have done and the most rewarding group work I have done."
"Cynthia is a Dream Weaver. She has the gift of creating a sacred, safe and open space in which the magic of the imagination can play through all the senses both physical and emotional. Creating an Indra’s Net of connectedness she anchors each jewel of image, meaning and vibrancy in the body. She gently holds the dream threads from which we are lowered into the depths of the psyche to find personal meaning and consciousness. A precious jewel indeed!"
